Prof. Saito attended the 7th Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS). He served as Science Advisory Committee, and gave an invited talk "ECOP in the UN Ocean Decade and beyond" and aslo oral presentation "Dinoflagellates in the Kuroshio ecosystem: diversity, biogeography and the role of the Kuroshio to transport HAB species".
