Siyu joined R/V Mirai cruise from Dutch Harbor, Alaska

Siyu left Dutch Harbor, Alaska, for R/V Mirai GO-SHIP cruise. It is planned to occupy the hydrographic section WHP-P14 nominally along the International Date Line in the North Pacific Ocean. Siyu examined the response of phytoplankton and microzooplankton to nutrient addition, simulating the supply of nutrients to euphotic zone with deepening of the mixed layer in autumn. She will come back to Shimizu, Japan, on Nov. 9, 2023.
